Jen Fuller

picture-pretty1Jen Fuller has been doing postural alignment therapy, educating, motivating and designing programs to help people understand how alignment is connected to degeneration and pain. More importantly, she will help you get out of it.

Most problems can be solved with the right tools and understanding.

Jen ‘s interest began after an accident left her father paraplegic. He suffered from what is known as phantom pain. This situation piqued Jen’s curiosity about causes and cures for chronic pain and illness. Being an athlete, she was interested in the science of body mechanics and what it took to function at a high level of performance. Hampshire College is where she first tested out these thoughts and majored in the science and psychology of health.

Her passion for windsurfing and drive for competition won her a spot on the US Olympic Windsurfing Team, and a contender for the 1992 Olympics. Her father’s failing health brought her home and out of the competition. The move from Florida back to Massachusetts and Maine eventually brought her to University of Maine Orono where she graduated at the top of her class with a degree in kinesiology/physiology and health fitness. Jen further studied and gained 2 certifications in muscular therapy through the Muscular therapy Institute of Cambridge and The Myotherapy Institute in Utah.

Jen also worked for Hurricane Island Outward Bound for 6 years, after 2 years of assisting and studying to pass her coast guard license test she worked another 4 years as lead instructor, working with age groups from 14 to 70 years old.

She has been involved with health and fitness for over 20 years and found that although she could help people through body work and physical training they were not always staying functional or pain free over the long haul. Being passionate about helping people become self reliant, she has found that combining all her studies and experience has resulted in a very high success rate of people staying pain free and functional. Treating the whole body not just the symptom is the key.

The Egoscue Method is a corner stone of her work. The deciding factor was after changing a 10 year pattern of off and on knee pain that was getting worse. After trying a number of therapies, including yoga and physical therapy I was able to resolve the pain and root problem within a few months. I now run, bike, play tennis, ski all without pain and compensation.

Jen left her 5 year practice in Jackson, WY to start and direct a franchised Egoscue Clinic in Mill Valley for 3 years and is now an independent contractor and certified affiliate combining the Egoscue Method along with her background and experience working and motivating people back to “Fuller Health”.

Jen is an avid runner and loves to learn new activities and sports. More recently paddle boarding and basketball.

Jen’s philosophy and practice is that people know more about themselves then anyone else. Jen believes that the client and practicioner are a team as much as a coach is to an athlete. The practice supports the idea that the client knows more about themselves than anyone.
